Due to our pending retirement this year we are putting on the market our beloved Auberge Henri IV.

We are currently running as a B&B with the 2026 order book. This is mainly sourced through Bookings.com.

Prior to this it ran as a very successful restaurant and bar

The Henri IV is located in the medieval village of Segur-le-Chateau, department of the Limousin, South West France.

The village of Segur-le-Chateau is a designated”Beau Village”.

“Beau Village” is awarded to the most picturesque villages in France.

The Auberge is set across 3 floors.

The third floor consists of:-

5 en-suite double bedrooms, 3 to the front of the property facing the village green and river beyond, then 2 bedrooms to the rear of the property facing the Chateau.
The bedrooms are accessed from a beautiful stone tiled landing area.

All 5 bedrooms have been refitted within the last 2 years to a very high standard (see attached photos).

On this floor is the laundry room and linen closet which services all the bedrooms.

The second floor consists of:-

A large dining room/ lounge, currently set up as a breakfast room for the B&B.
It contains several sofas, tables, chairs and buffet stations, separate WC and wash hand basin.
The room overlooks the village green, river and century old plane trees.

Fully equipped commercial kitchen. All appliances and worktops are stainless steel. It has 2 large commercial fridges, 6 ringed gas hob and oven, 2 dishwashers and storage racks. It is fully equipped to run the restaurant and bars.

Adjoining the kitchen is a separate bar with fireplace, accessed from the street and dining room.

The bar is fully equipped with beer pumps, fridges and a small under counter sink plus all glassware and bar equipment.

The ground floor consists of:-

A large dining room, bar with corner kitchen, providing direct access to the terrace and village green.

The bar is fully equipped with beer pumps, fridge, freezer, double sink and all glassware.

To the rear of the dining room are 2 storage rooms.
They are used to house the hot water tanks, additional fridge/freezer, glassware, tables, chairs, beer pumps and cooler.

The terrace is located at the front of the property. It enjoys a privileged position overlooking the village green and river.

The Henri IV is being sold as a “Turn Key package” with this years B&B order book and goodwill.

The restaurant previously accommodated a capacity of 120 covers which can be immediately resumed if desired.

Alternatively the property could be used as a fully furnished family home in the middle of a beautiful village with a fabulous location.

Segur le Chateau is 7km from the historic town of Pompadour.
It is the home of the National stud of France.
Along with the racecourse it hosts multiple horse related events.
A new casino is due to open in July 2026.

Segur le Chateau is serviced by the airports of Limoges, Brive and Bergerac all within 1.5 hours.
