Housed in an 1850 maison de maître, once the director’s residence of a tapestry manufacturer, converted into a hotel in 2004.
Aubusson is known for the production of tapestries, an activity that is still alive today. It is located between Limoges and Clermont-Ferrand (both 1 hour away), surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside.
The town attracts mainly tourists for its tapestries, cyclists, fans of the Mas du Clos motor racing circuit and business clients, which provides a very diverse range of loyal French and international clients (English, Italians, Dutch, Belgians, Germans and Swiss). As a result, the hotel has a very high occupancy throughout the year. Aubusson has 3000 inhabitants and has several schools, supermarket, doctors, hospital, pharmacies, swimming pool, sports clubs, theater and cinema, weekly Saturday market, restaurants and hotels all open all year round.
The hotel has 10 rooms, including a disabled room, each with a private bathroom; a breakfast room, a large terrace, a 2000m2 garden with century-old trees, including a very striking sequoia, with a private parking lot with a charging point for electric cars.
The hotel has a professional kitchen; it currently cooks for its own clients three nights a week (between 25 and 40 covers per week).
We hold a Licence IV.

The hotel is fully up to standard:
-three-star rating, valid until the end of 2027
-fire safety valid until the end of 2029 (5-year inspection)
The whole is well maintained, beds were replaced in 2023, carpets in Nov 2024). Website is available and we work with a reservation system. We are highly listed on Booking.com, Tripadvisor and Google. We have the label Accueil Vélo and are in the Guide Routard and Petit Futé.

Building permit, an architect’s design and approval from architect de France are present for expansion with a room and restaurant. There is potential enough to expand commercial activity in terms of bar and restaurant and an additional room. If you want to reduce the activity, it is also possible by reducing the activity in the winter period.
