Le Manoir des Granges

Our domain called “Le Manoir des Granges” is a picturesque ensemble consisting of a
19th century renovated mansion and four vacation homes (2-6p.) surrounding a courtyard with an ancient olive tree. There are two pools on the property – one near the mansion, and one on the side of the four smaller vacation homes. Located in the heart of the Dordogne, the property is built in the authentic regional style with thick limestone walls and wooden shutters for the windows.
The property is set in a beautiful setting of green hills, with the Vézère River a stone’s throw away, and opposite the UNESCO World Heritage Site of La Roque Saint Christophe – a unique location. At the same time, we are certainly not remote; both Montignac, Les Eyzies and Sarlat, as well as Périgueux and Brive-la-Gaillarde are easily accessible from here.

Combination of living & working:

You can both live and work here in beautiful surroundings. There are vacation homes on our property that are ready for rental. We have a good running business here ourselves at the moment.

The mansion has 6 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, and a fenced private garden with pool. To the right of the mansion are four vacation homes for 2 to 6 people. Each cottage has its own charm and is part of a collection of characteristic and renovated farm buildings in the typical Perigordian style. The gites are fully independent with each having a cozy living room, private terrace with barbecue, en-suite bedroom, fully equipped kitchen and a communal pool. The gites are situated so that everyone has privacy.
The property itself is 0.8 acres with a beautifully planted garden. An array of alternating flowers and plants grow in the beds, so you can enjoy the garden in every season. At the front of the property are walnut and fruit trees that produce a delicious yield every year.

Location:

You live and work in the heart of the Périgord Noir, overlooking the UNESCO World Heritage Site “La Roque Saint Christophe.” The river “La Vézère” is a stone’s throw away. Our estate is located in the so-called “golden triangle” between Sarlat, Les Eyzies and Montignac. The ideal base for visiting the region: from prehistoric cave dwellings with murals and beautifully situated castles to atmospheric evening markets in picturesque medieval villages .
