Yes, we work only 6 months a year and get a full income for two people from that. We can also work longer and harder, because the tourist season here in the Dordogne Valley in the Lot (Occitanie) runs from Easter to November 11, while we choose to close the books already at the end of September. Simply because we do not have the ambition to make the most of it here. We also take it easy on our table d’hôtes: we love to cook and receive guests, but in the summer months we personally prefer to send them to restaurants. We can afford to do that, because the rooms and the gîtes are now running well. Pay us a visit, and we will be happy to share with you our business figure.

Our 8500 m² estate is located amidst the green hills but only 4 km from the center of Souillac. In short: the best of both worlds: total peace and quiet, but close to a town with department stores, bakers, butchers, do-it-yourself stores, …, restaurants, cafes and – not unimportant for accessibility – an exit to the freeway A20. Souillac is the ideal base for visiting all the highlights in the Dordogne valley (castles, caves, “Plus Beaux Villages”, gardens, amusement parks, …). Indeed, the region is very well developed touristically (see https://www.vallee-dordogne.com/).

There are three buildings on our property.
Our main house, with three guest rooms on the second floor, one of which is a family room for 4 or 5 people. Each room naturally has its own tastefully decorated bathroom.
The gîte building with, on the side of the inner garden, two double studios of 46 m² each and, on the side of the swimming pool (12 x 6), three large gîtes for 4 / 5 people.
A handy, very large barn (188 m²) spread over two floors, which serves as storage space and bicycle shed, but where we have also already held workshops.
