In a wooded and hilly area in central Portugal, on the outskirts of the village of Póvoa de Midões, lies the estate – of almost 6 hectares – Quinta Vale Porcacho (QVP). QVP is a small village that has all the amenities. It has a fabulous view of the Mondego valley and the Serra do Caramulo. The accommodation for guests consists of 9 luxury rooms and a nature cottage spread over about five houses. In addition to the guest rooms, there are the main house, activity room and a barn.
QVP is currently operated as a B&B and will be delivered turn key. It is also well suited to be operated as a conference or retreat center.
The existing buildings were completely restored from 2010 to 2012 using natural materials while maintaining their authentic character. The new buildings were constructed in the same style, maintaining the unity and appearance of the quinta
The main house has a large common room with wood stove for guests and on the second floor a large apartment. QVP has a professional kitchen and a large basement. A pellet stove with a capacity of 65 Kw provides heating for all buildings except the nature cottage. The basement serves as a laundry room and storage.
The guest rooms with terrace and/or private garden are spacious (20-35 m2) with private bathrooms and all have floor and/or wall heating. The nature cottage has a kitchen, and its own pellet stove and is completely free. All rooms and the nature cottage are fully furnished.
The 140m2 activity room is housed in a separate building near the pool. This also houses the showers/toilets for the pool.
